our story

Hello! Thank you for visiting our site.

Our names are Jane Biggs and Mike Rehder and we are small scale local beekeepers in Northumberland County.

We are located on 60-acres with a 1870’s farmhouse between Colborne (Big Apple) and Brighton. With the native and diverse environment, our honeybees produce a beautifully complex wildflower honey from the fields and forests around us.

We sell our honey at our front door as well as at several retail locations and often at local events and fairs.

Bee Keeping

Our local bee club is the Quinte Beekeepers Association. Please visit our site to learn more about the services and resources available through the QBA.

Ontario Bee Association

The Ontario Beekeepers’ Association (OBA) has been supporting beekeepers across the province since 1881. Dedicated to sustainable beekeeping, research, and education, the OBA advocates for the health of honeybees and the success of Ontario’s beekeeping industry. Through training, resources, and industry collaboration, the association plays a vital role in protecting pollinators and promoting high-quality honey production.

Perfect balance of taste and texture.
